Note that while this document predates the online and printed standards documentation from Microsoft, everything below which indicates it is based on .NET library standards is consistent with that documentation. The "ux" naming convention for controls is something I have added and found to be helpful. It is not based on any official standards, but instead based upon a multitude of projects by my teams and others, as well as on-line discussions on the topic. While I strongly recommend that you follow Microsoft guidelines when present, I encourage you to try out the items marked as extensions below and see how they work for you before committing to them.

If you are looking for a custom software & web programming company - you found it. Dotnetmaestro offers a full range of custom programming services. At Intelex, you will find that custom programming is affordable.

Benefits of using Dot Net technology:

The programming process is simplified to the maximum, hence, allowing speeding up web development services significantly. Besides, object-oriented programming is widely applied within the limit of Dot Net. It represents a hybrid of Visual Basic (characterized with development speed and low complexity, but from time to time resulting in slow functioning) and Visual C++ (presupposing power, flexibility and fast speed of functioning, but often at the expense of sophisticated development demanding considerable period of time).

Active use of XML markup as a superstructure to HTTP (traffic level). XML is more tuned to program-to-program types of connection (i.e. client -server, server-server, client - client), but not to server-to-user types.

MS Passport Technology is perfect for unified user authorization. It provides the developer with the following advantage

Every user gets a unique MS Passport password applicable for free access to protected zones of all web sites interesting to this user. Currently any one has to register separately on every website, which means to remember passwords (pin-codes, account numbers, etc.), to specify one's address, phone number and so on and so forth. MS Passport authorization websites get all the user data automatically
Implementation of Internet modules into any software is possible, even for Text Editor Programs that can download new spelling data or more fonts from the web. Universal application of browsers should become an outdated reality pretty soon, as customers are willing to make use of the Internet directly in their current activities instead of using it as a means of getting information and entertainment. Dot Net is perfect solution from this point of view: it is characterized with simple of XML request composing and responding server functions along with the possibility to get data in the background.
